If you've ever wondered what happens when you put a stovetop espresso jug on the top of the stove without first putting water in it, I'm now in a position to give you that information: 1) The metal gets very hot 2) The plastic handle falls off 3) There is a smell of burning rubber 4) No cup of coffee is produced I always suspected it would be dangerous to try to use complex machinery first thing in the morning, and I'm satisfied that I've been proved correct. |
